Louisiana Felony Possession of Firearm Law Upheld

The Louisiana Supreme Court upheld the statute that prohibits certain convicted felons from possessing a firearm. In 2012, the legislature¬†created an amendment that required the passage of any gun law to be subject to “strict scrutiny.” The Supreme Court seems to believe the convicted felon statute passes that test.
