DWI Book

DWI: Practical Information for the Accused and Attorneys in Louisiana written by Carl Barkemeyer.

In 2005, I began my career as an attorney handling only criminal and DWI cases. Since then, I have spent my entire career fine-tuning my DWI defense representation by representing hundreds of DWI clients throughout the state of Louisiana. I own and operate Barkemeyer Law Firm, which services all of Louisiana for DWI defense representation.

The purpose of this book is to provide useful information to those who have been arrested for DWI, rather than the typical SEO-driven content found on the internet.  This book focuses on the process ahead to help ease the defendant’s mind about what to expect in the future. Actual DWI cases are much more complex than what is illustrated in this book. As the author, my intent is that the reader will glean enough information from this book to gain a general understanding of the legal process.
