What to do after being arrested in Tangipahoa Parish?

It depends on the criminal charge you picked up. If you were arrested for a misdemeanor in the city limits of Hammond, Louisiana, then you may have court in Hammond City Court.  Any other charge will go to the Tangipahoa District Court in Amite, Louisiana.

The first court date in a criminal proceeding is the arraignment. You will have an arraignment regardless of which courthouse you are in.
